Permanent overnight liquor ban
Following Council resolution permanent overnight liquor bans (10.00pm to 6.00am during daylight savings and 9.00pm to 6.00am during the rest of the year) are in force.
The overnight liquor bans apply to public areas (under council jurisdiction) within the defined liquor ban areas as follows:
Albany

- The area surrounding Westfield Shopping Centre with the boundary of the liquor ban area being Don McKinnon Drive.
East Coast Bays:
- All beach and foreshore reserve areas and adjoining carparks
Takapuna:
Map Takapuna (406 KB)
- Takapuna Business District - includes the parts of Hurstmere Rd and Anzac St and all public areas within the following street borders - Earnoch Ave/Killarney St to The Terrace/Lake Rd to Blomfield Spa.
- All beach and foreshore reserve areas and adjoining carparks
- The reserve and carpark areas surrounding Lake Pupuke
- Killarney St pay carpark
- Anzac St pay carpark
Devonport:

- Cheltenham and Narrowneck beaches including Woodall reserve carpark and the streets adjoining Cheltenham beach
- Ngataringa Park (including the walkway from the end of Victoria Rd through to the park).

- Northcote Shopping Centre area (including Greenslade Reserve)

- Birkenhead/Highbury town centre from Birkenhead Ave to the public carpark area between Rawene Rd and Huka Rd to Mokoia Rd and linking to Mahara Ave and Birkenhead War Memorial Domain.
