Albany Highway upgrade

Due to faster-than-expected population growth in the Albany area, this road has experienced a rapid growth in traffic numbers. It is congested at peak travel times and there are also safety issues at the Rosedale Rd roundabout, where better pedestrian crossing options are required.

Consequently the council is planning improvements to Albany Highway between Schnapper Rock Rd and SH17. Early planning is underway and bus priority measures are among the options being considered.
