Parking tickets

If you are ticketed for parking illegally, you have 28 days to pay the fine. If you do not do so, you will then receive a reminder. If you do still not pay after another 28 days, the fine will be lodged with the Department of Courts, which will take action against you, and there may be a fee imposed on top of the fine.

If you believe there is a legitimate reason why you should not have to pay the fine, you can fill out an explanation form. The forms are available at council area offices, or you can email us at actionline@northshorecity.govt.nz
