Parking on grass verges and berms

Parking on berms and verges is not acceptable because it damages Council property (the berm) and can also block access to underground services such as water pipes and power cables.

Vehicles may also be a hazard for pedestrians forced to walk on the road, particularly children, people with disabilities and those wheeling pushchairs.

Generally the Council’s approach is to speak to the driver to ask that the vehicle be removed, but vehicles may also be towed.
