Protecting your health in the community

- Investigating and abating health nuisances
- Assessing the possible health risks of new mobile phone cell tower sites
- Providing advice on the decontamination of P labs
- Investigating suspected private sewer overflows
- Carrying out investigations of sites emitting unreasonable or excessive noise as well as taking noise measurements and noise surveys throughout the city
- Sampling roof water quality for private dwellings on tank supply
- Providing food handler training in basic food hygiene.
- Investigating complaints about odours resulting from rubbish, dumping or food outlets where the odour is caused by unsafe food practices for example rotting food, dirt and dumping.*
Should you have any queries about any of these issues please contact us on 09 486 48600 and ask to speak with an environmental health officer.
