Many children have a natural interest in disasters and the scale and
frequency of disasters worldwide makes Civil Defence a great classroom
subject.
This information serves as a starting point for teachers wanting to
include Civil Defence studies as part of their teaching programme.
Civil Defence presentation
Teachers are welcome to contact North Shore City Civil Defence to book
a time for us to give a presentation. We find it useful to have a short
planning meeting to discuss the various presentations on offer and any
specific requirements. With the correct materials available, we can
present to groups of up to 200 pupils. More detailed and hands-on
presentations are suitable for groups of up to 50 children.
