Draft Events Strategy The Events Strategy aims to enhance and develop events in the North Shore to achieve community outcomes as set out in the City Plan. It provides the strategic framework for events services and facilities which are provided by the Council. As an overview document it sets out a vision and pathway for, and maximizing the effectiveness of, Council’s investment in events and is intended to:
For the purpose of this strategy an event is defined as: “A one time or infrequently occurring event outside the normal programme or activities of the sponsoring or organising body. For the consumer or guest, an event is an opportunity for a leisure, social or cultural experience outside the normal range of choices or beyond everyday experience.” The draft plan can be viewed at your local Library, Area Office, or by downloading from this page. Copies can also be obtained from the North Shore City Council. Interested persons and organisations are invited to lodge written comments on the draft plan.
