Filming in North Shore City

North Shore City is an outstanding filming destination with superb natural features and unique heritage buildings only minutes from central Auckland.

The city offers filmmakers a range of distinctive and versatile locations. We have a dedicated customer relationship officer who deals with all film processes and aims to make filming in the city as simple as possible.

A variety of locations...

		Beaches and coastal: beautiful bays and beaches with spectacular marine scenery - there is an abundance of beaches, coves, and inlets.
		Native forest: more than 400 parks, including more than 20 scenic bush reserves featuring an amazing variety of landscapes, from native Kauri forest to mangrove-filled wetlands.
		Heritage features: we have many heritage buildings throughout the city from the village-like atmosphere of seaside town of Devonport to Birkenhead, Northcote and other suburbs.
		Military structures: a range of military structures such as Fort Takapuna and North Head tunnels can be found in the city. Many of the North Head fortifications were built in the late 1800s.
