This Annual Report compares our achievements and progress to what was planned to be achieved in our Annual Plan 2008/09, which was part of our City Plan 2006-2016.
The report shows we maintained high quality service delivery across all our activities despite the recession and Auckland Governance changes. This was reflected by maintained satisfaction levels across all our activities, especially for our environmental and community programmes which got strong support from the community.
We also achieved 75 per cent of service performance measures which is slightly higher than the previous year.
Highlights
- Successful completion of the external audit
- The council’s financial position is sound with assets valued at $4.4 billion and liabilities of $0.4 billion
- $159m invested in capital infrastructure
- Invested $80m on wastewater ($59m on Rosedale Wastewater Tunnel and Outfall), $38m on transport and $16m on parks
- There are significant changes ahead for Auckland Governance
