The North Shore City Council is a signatory to the government’s Urban Design Protocol. The council recognises that good urban design offers significant benefits to the community. Conversely, poor design is likely to have adverse environmental, social and economic effects on a community.
Urban design that delivers improved quality of life is valued and the North Shore City Council has a number of projects and initiatives in place to assist with and highlight the importance of good urban design.
