Browns Bay south sewer upgrade

Motorists will experience some disruption over the next month in Browns Bay’s Glencoe Rd while we carry out essential work on a sewer upgrade project.

A new sewer near the tennis club in Freyberg Park will be tunnelled under Glencoe Rd adjacent to St Anne’s Hall.

Two-way traffic will be maintained and access to businesses and residential properties is unlikely to be affected, but there will be some traffic delays during peak periods.

Work in the Glencoe Rd area should be completed by late April. The Browns Bay South upgrade is part of council’s Project CARE programme to reduce wet weather sewage overflows and improve beach water quality.
