Through this site you can access current and historic traffic counts for selected North Shore City road locations. Each count contains seven days of information (Monday to Sunday), split into directional hourly counts.

The search facility provides a summary table of ADTs (Average Daily Traffic) for five and seven days, i.e. including or excluding the weekend. This table also provides PVPH (Peak Vehicle Per Hour) values for the morning and evening peak hours of the working week, as well as being linked in to a more detailed breakdown of the count.

This detailed information is in the form of a PDF document. If you don’t already have a PDF reader installed you can download Adobe Acrobat Reader from the Adobe website by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page.

About searching

  • Either select a count location (a road or street in North Shore City) by selecting an option from the ‘Select a count location’ drop down menu
  • Define the search by selecting an option from the 'Select result group' drop down menu. By default your search will look for the very latest results on record for that location, by selecting "All results" the entire set of results (for all years collected) will be returned. Please note: that traffic count statistics gathered in any one year, for any one location, and for any one direction are not necessarily collected on the same day.
  • A search may return many results and these may be displayed over multiple pages.
  • You can change the order of the results by clicking on any of the column titles. A second click on a column title will reverse the order of the results.
  • Before you start a new search, click on "Reset" to clear all previous search criteria.
