Illegal Dumping Of Rubbish

It is illegal for a person to dump rubbish outside any property, on roadsides, in parks and other public areas.

Residents that see people dumping rubbish should contact Actionline, phone (09) 486 8600 or email actionline@northshorecity.govt.nz and give as much of the following information as possible:

• The location of the dumped rubbish
• A description of the rubbish that has been dumped, e.g. two black bags, a mattress, and a box of paper
• The registration number of the offender's vehicle
• A description of the offender's vehicle
• A description of the offender

The Council will investigate.

Fines of up to $400 may be issued to the offender. Council does not collect rubbish dumped on private property.
