What Type Of Licence Do You Need?

The type of activity or business you plan will determine the type of liquor licence you will need.

For the sale and supply of alcohol on the premises and includes: Restaurants Taverns Cafes Bars and Brasseries Wine Bars Hotels Entertainment Centres i.e. Ten Pin Bowling Centre	On licence
Premisees that only provide corkage/glasses (BYO only)	Endorsed on licence
For the sale and supply of alcohol for consumption off the premises and includes: Bottle shops Supermarkets/superettes Mail Order Catering business Wine shops Auctioneers	Off licence
For sale and supply of alcohol on Club premises to members, their guests and members of clubs with reciprocal rights and includes: Sports clubs Chartered clubs Social clubs	Club licence
To continue trading on existing licence when a business is purchased.	Temporary Authority
Occasion, event or series of occasions: Weddings 21st Birthday Sports games Fund-raising events etc	Special licence
