The catchment has been developed for predominantly low density residential use with areas of open space, high density residential and light industrial use. Some increases in high density residential development are anticipated for the future.

Bank Erosion		Slight (natural) erosion throughout except for severe erosion in Tributary 8.
Temperature		1 winter measurement indicating no adverse effect. However summer temperatures are likely to be higher.
Suspended Solids, Turbidity And Visual Clarity		Moderate suspended solids, low turbidity and high clarity compared to other North Shore streams.
Oxygen and Oxygen Demand		Good oxygen levels and oxygen demand typical for North Shore streams.
Nutrients		Low ammonia and nitrate values compared to other North Shore streams.
Contaminants		Overall typical of urbanised streams.
Bacteria and Pathogens		Levels of indicator bacteria suggest the stream is not suitable for contact recreation.
