Awaruku Stream catchment contains the Long Bay Regional Park and a mixture of residential and rural land use. The Awaruku Stream has been heavily modified as a result of urbanisation that has occurred only recently. Further significant development is anticipated within the catchment and the remaining rural land is expected to change to a combination of residential, rural, recreation and business land use.
