Your council has identified projects that it will construct in anticipation of growth.
The costs of these projects are allocated to growth in accordance with the requirements of the Local Government Act 2002 and your council’s Cost Allocation Methodology and Revenue and Financing Policy.
This process results in an allocation of costs of projects to growth to be included as part of the Schedule of Charges for an Activity.
The 2009 Schedule of Charges is based on historic growth projects to date and those of the City Plan 2009-2024 falling within the plan’s first 10 years from July 2009 to June 2019.
Lists of capital projects that have been analysed and used to calculate development contributions charges are displayed in the related documents panel on the right.
If you would like more detail on any of these projects, please make an appointment to view your council’s projects database by contacting the Development Contributions Policy Team, Strategy and Policy, Head Office, 1 The Strand, Takapuna, email dcadmins@northshorecity.govt.nz
You’ll also find more detail about the background, outcomes and timing of the capital projects programme in Modules 1 to 3 of the 2009 City Plan.
Council must consider a wide range of matters leading to its decisions on projects related to growth. We provide a general Summary of the Activity Considerations.
