North Shore City has seven cemeteries across the city, from Mt Victoria Cemetery in Devonport to North Shore Memorial Park and Crematorium in Albany.
Our cemeteries are well maintained so they are peaceful places where family and friends can visit their loved ones 365 days a year, and others can enjoy their park-like settings.
Our online cemetery search (Do It Online section) allows you to find out information about where a person is buried. Burial records start from the 1850s, and cremation from 1974.
The cemeteries also hold a wealth of information about North Shore City's history, especially at its older, closed cemeteries such as Mt Victoria and St Mary's Pioneer Cemetery.
North Shore Memorial Park is the only cemetery in North Shore City where either full burial or ashes plots are available for purchase. Interments are carried out occasionally at existing or reserved plots at other cemeteries.
Contact the North Shore Memorial Park 24-hours, seven days a week, phone (09) 415 9646, by post to Private Bag 303035, North Shore City, or by emailing Actionline actionline@northshorecity.govt.nz
