North Shore City Council’s season of community planting days runs from May to September each year, with the aim of improving our city’s parks and natural environment. Planting natives helps to fight weeds, minimise erosion, and provide habitat and food for native birds and other wildlife.
Last year volunteers planted an impressive 15,000 native plants in North Shore City parks and reserves, and we’d love you to be involved in this year’s effort! See below for a schedule of Community Planting Days for this year.
Planting days are great family events and a fantastic opportunity to meet other people in your community and make a lasting difference. All North Shore City Council planting days are followed by a sausage sizzle and refreshments.
