North Shore City/Te Raki Pae Whenua is a city in its own right and a thriving metropolitan community. Together North Shore City Council, central government and community organisations provide valuable services to reflect our diverse community including young people, older people and people who are new to the country. North Shore is also fortunate to have a wide range of not-for-profit groups which have served the Shore for a number of years. These groups partner with council and central government to provide integrated services across a range of areas through the collective implementation of citywide strategies through to local neighbourhood initiatives.
