North Shore City:

• Is New Zealand's fourth largest city by population, making up 5 per cent of total population in the country
• Covers an area of 13,000 hectares
• With a population of approximately 225,800 residents at 30 June 2009, an increase of 2,800 people or 1.3 per cent since 2008
• Currently has approximately 80,000 dwellings in the city.
