North Shore Leisure offer a wide range of group fitness classes to meet every fitness goal. These classes are currently through our Glenfield and East Coast Bays Leisure Centres.

A high-energy, calorie-consuming athletic workout that will push you to the limit with strong, simple moves and pumping music. This is the most intense workout you'll find in the world of fitness - a session guaranteed to take no prisoners.

Squeeze, pulse and tighten those problem areas into shape. A non-impact class of continuous isolating movement to spot-tone and strengthen abdominals, butt and thighs. Step and bands may be used. (55mins)

Body Vive
BODYDIVE ® is the low-impact group fitness workout that lets you choose just how hard you work. Using the VIVE ™ tubes and optional hand weights you’re talked step-by-step through the entire class by a skilled instructor, while listening to uplifting and inspiring music. Best of all, you finish feeling thoroughly rejuvenated – and fizzling with energy.

Pilates mat work is an effective form of exercise. The eight principles of the Pilates Technique are Concentration, Breath, Centering Control, Precision, Following Movement, Isolation and Routine. This is a class not to miss.

Beginner Pilates
An essential class for the absolute beginner -8 sessions over 8 weeks. Sessions need to be pre-booked and numbers are limited to 15 per session (or instructor's discretion). North Shore Leisure Certificate of Completion at end of term when all sessions attended.

We hold an end of year concert for students to showcase their hard-work to family and friends.
B Bop: 5-7 years Tuesdays 3.30pm to 4.15pm
Does you're child enjoy dancing at home? Creating their unique routines? If so this is the ultimate in classes!
The syllabus concentrates on rhythm, song, sound and movement with the purpose of encouraging creative artistic dance expression.
B.Bop incorporates a number of genres including basic ballet, jazz and hip hop. Props are introduced at certain sessions to compliment the dance.
With numbers kept to a minimum this creative, relaxed environment will bring your child's love of dance to life!
Hip-Hop8-11 years Thursdays 4.15 to 5.10pm
This class is a distinct step up from B.Bop and allows dancers to develop base skills into actual hip hop routines.
The syllabus incorporates complex rhythms and smooth moves that are showcased on the most up to date street / dance music videos that 'everyone' in the dance world is talking about.
Dancers will begin to master these very funky synchronized skills in an upbeat and fun environment whilst learning that movement and dance is an energized way to stay fit and active.

Cheerleading: 7-13 years Thursdays 3.30pm to 4.15pm
Cheerleading - the form of dance with chants and pom-poms!
This form of dance incorporates much more than what most people naturally think - uniformity, physical techniques, optical illusions, tricks, stunts - all of which are achieved by strong, sharp, precise movements of the legs and arms.
For dancers wanting to work in a group to achieve a visual masterpiece, then cheerleading is the class for you – pom-poms and chants are really just the icing on the cake!
Funk Fusion: 10-15 years Tuesdays 4.15pm to 5.10pm
Excelling at hip hop? Feeling a bit more creative? Wanting to funk up the moves? This brand new class has been developed for you!
This class isn't just about replicating what’s on the music videos and on television. It will allow you to develop and critique your personal flavour and style in a creatively gifted group of dancers
All classes take place in a fun, friendly, safe and enjoyable environment. Our large Studio provides a great atmosphere to dance with sound and mirrors to help develop skill and movement.

Relaxercise
Low impact, gentle exercises. Works the whole body.
Aimed for women over 50 but well suited for women recovering from childbirth or operations. $4.50 per class.
Duration: 55 minutes
It is important that you attend the warm-up and cool-down phase of all group fitness classes.
