The arts are a vital element for creating a vibrant and innovative city and North Shore City Council makes significant contributions towards supporting creativity in the city.
The arts contribute to the North Shore’s wellbeing through the creation of exciting cultural and artistic initiatives and through the contributions made by creative industries in developing new skills and stimulating economic activity with new and challenging ways of seeing and doing.
North Shore City’s Arts Strategy 2008 sets the vision and framework for the provision and direction of council-supported arts initiatives across the city, from dedicated arts facilities and events, to working with third party providers.
You can view the full Arts Strategy document to the right of this page.
Section One sets out the aims of the strategy and the important national, regional and local issues that the strategy has to address.
